The Business Times: My life in theatre

Michael Earley, Dean of LASALLE's Faculty of Performing Arts, shares his vision for the future of Singapore theatre in an age of dissolving boundaries, and how LASALLE is well positioned to fully embrace cross-disciplinary integration for modern audiences. Michael's position as Dean allows him to not only bring together different cultural forms of theatre, but also create opportunities for collaboration between the various disciplines in the College, orientating LASALLE graduates towards new art forms in the 21st century.

Tamil Murasu: Art that teaches culture

Five new wall murals were painted for 2019’s edition of ARTWALK Little India, and one them is an ambitious capture of the sights, smell and sound of the historical precinct. Titled A Scent of Lights, this wall mural is the work of Lee Song Xuan (‘SONG’), a fine arts alumnus of LASALLE. He wanted to depict the vibrancy of Indian culture which he had learnt through his interactions with residents of the neighbourhood. “In Indian culture, even light has fragrance,” he said.

Channel 8's 狮城有约: Celebrating nation's founding at iLight Singapore 2019

Marina Bay’s annual sustainable lights festival returns for a special edition to celebrate Singapore’s 200th year since her founding. Of the 32 art installations on display along the waterfront from 28 January to 24 February, one of them is by BA(Hons) Fine Arts students Foo Hui Wen, Lim Yu Zhi and R.Yashini.
