A French Connection Through Art

The Palais de Tokyo in Paris, Europe’s largest centre for contemporary art, presents its first collaboration here with a Singapore institution – a major exhibition at the LASALLE College of the Arts.

Sous la lune, or Beneath The Moon, curated by Mr Khairuddin Hori, Palais de Tokyo’s deputy director of artistic programming and a Lasalle alumnus, is an immersive show that focuses on cross- cultural exchanges through art.

Pioneer ‘O’ Level Drama Grad Tops LASALLE’s Class Of 2015

It was at the tender age of five that Millicent Wong started her LASALLE education – as a young student of dance at the old LASALLE campus on Goodman Road, where she met the College’s late founder, Brother Joseph McNally.

Millicent graduated today with a Diploma in Performance as the College’s top student and the recipient of its most prestigious honour, the McNally Award for Excellence in the Arts.

NAFA and LASALLE Top Fine Arts Students Show Creativity

Each year, Singapore’s two art institutions, LASALLE College of the Arts and Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, train a total of more than 200 fresh visual artists. BA(Hons) Fine Arts graduate Naufal Abshar shared that his parents were confident that an education at LASALLE would provide him with various opportunities to grow his creative talent when interviewed by Berita Harian, together with Asanul Nazryn Mohd Nazi on their involvement in Art Moves, A travelling showcase by emerging artists by BA(Hons) Fine Arts, Class of 2015. Naufal and Nazryn are two of 11 alumni artists whose works are being exhibited for sale at tcc cafes around Singapore as part of the year-long collaboration.

Shanghai 3.0

Curated by BA(Hons) Fashion Media and Industries Level 2 students, Shanghai 3.0 featured contemporary Asian fashion photography housed at The Deck art space.

Ranging from fashion images, to films and installations, the exhibition adapted Shanghai 1930s’ narratives, using visual cues from the era and moulding them into a contemporary fashion language to depict the story of how fashion and visual culture evolved in Shanghai in the 21st century.

Local Budding Fashion Designers Get Headstart On Career With LASALLE X Tangs Pop-Up Store

This season, LASALLE College of the Arts in collaboration with TANGS presents a ready-to-wear collection by students from 2015’s BA(Hons) Fashion Design and Textiles Programme. The collection features 150 pieces specially created for TANGS: six diffusion lines inspired by the students’ own graduate collections, themed SG50 – Capsule.
