Entry: First Steps to Recovery

Film student, Juan Paulo Reyes, made his impact internationally, having won the Best Film (Family Category) award at Faith Shorts 2011, a global film competition run by the Tony Blair Faith Foundation. Entries were judged by an international panel including former British Prime Minister Tony Blair and Hollywood actors Hugh Jackman and Jet Li. Paulo’s three-minute film, First Steps to Recovery, screened at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) in December where he was presented with the award. The film explores the role of faith in times of illness and death.
