LASALLE alumna Yuni, who is Executive Director of the Singapore International Film Festival (SGIFF) and co-founder of Objectifs Films, was feted for her accomplishments in the Arts and Media category. The SGIFF returned from a three-year hiatus to widespread acclaim in 2014 under Yuni’s leadership.

Yuni, who achieved both the BA(Hons) Arts Management and MA Arts & Cultural Management degrees at LASALLE, is one of the producers behind Singapore’s claim to international cinematic glory — Ilo Ilo — which clinched the coveted Caméra d’Or for Best First Feature Film at the 66th Cannes Film Festival (2013).

Jying has exhibited at galleries and installation sites in Singapore, Malaysia, Japan and Turkey. She was invited to be part of the influential OH! Open House installation event in 2010, and two years ago became the youngest artist ever to take part in the prestigious international residency programme, Tokyo Wondersite.
