Tabla!: India-S'pore artists unite for ARTWALK

ARTWALK Little India’s first international collaboration has been revealed on the facade of Broadway Hotel at Serangoon Road. Standing at a magnificent seven-storeys tall, this mural is the work of Indian artist Bhajju Shyam and Singaporean artist Sam Lo. Alongside their creation, five other works were also unveiled within the heritage precinct.

In Spite Of the pandemic, popular public arts festival ARTWALK Little India (ARTWALK) returns to celebrate the rich heritage of the precinct from 22 January to 6 February 2021, demonstrating how art continues to fuel and inspire even in challenging times. Held in conjunction with Singapore Art Week, this year’s festival will be presented in a hybrid format for the first time, featuring both digital and on-site programmes.

The Straits Times: New member of Council of Presidential Advisers sworn in

Mr Peter Seah, Chairman of LASALLE College of the Arts has been appointed by President Halimah Yacob as a member of the Council of Presidential Advisers (CPA). Along with nine other members, he will provide advice to the President before she exercises her discretionary powers to all fiscal and appointment matters.
