Two Fashion School Students Showcased In Exhibition Exploring Mystery Of White Shirts

Lianhe Zaobao interviewed two students from the BA(Hons) Fashion Media and Industries Programme, Chen Junhao and Chen Tujin, on their involvement in 1°17′N The White Shirt Project. This exhibition, jointly presented by BA(Hons) Fashion Design and Textiles Programme and BA(Hons) Fashion Media and Industries Programme, consisted of 28 projects from design clothing, to fashion photograph, to installation and video work.

LASALLE Students Win 2016 24-Hour Crowbar Advertising Challenge For Asiaone

Three BA(Hons) Design Communication students, Amos Chew, Larries Ng and Tiffany Tan, from LASALLE came in tops at this year's Crowbar Challenge, beating 18 other teams to come up with the best marketing campaign for news and lifestyle website AsiaOne.

Creative director from Publicis Singapore, Adrian Yeap who is amongst the panel of judges told AsiaOne that "it was very clear" when it came to choosing the winner. He added that the winning work "demonstrated a strong understanding of human behaviour which is at the core of all the strongest ideas."

Wall Mural ‘Brightens’ Up Little India

Liven Up Little India With Colours Of Art

After two successful editions, ARTWALK Little India returns with a new theme, Your Path To Remember. This year, the festival leads visitors into a space in time where memories and stories of the precinct come to life through animated telling of traditional folktales and mythologies, captivating art installations and immersive performances. Organised by LASALLE College of the Arts and Singapore Tourism Board, with the support of the Little India Shopkeepers’ and Heritage Association, the festival runs from Thu 12 to Tue 17 Jan 2017.

Hand-Drawn Animations Breathe Life Into Vintage Toys

MINT Museum of Toys combined imagination and vintage toys by opening up its collection to LASALLE’s Animation students, who spent a day sketching at the museum. In a race against the clock, the students turned these sketches into 10 seconds of dynamic 2D animation within 24 hours over two days. These works by LASALLE students will now be on display at MINT Museum of Toys throughout August in a new exhibition, Toys in Animation, that breathes life into vintage toys from wind-up tin toys to classic cartoon characters.

Dance movements by an outstanding LASALLE graduate

Mr Syaril Amri Mohd Tajuddin, who graduated from LASALLE’s Diploma in Dance, set his heart to take up the course at LASALLE after talking with two established dancers, Mr Shahrin Johry and Mr Mohamad Sufri Juwahir.

Syaril shared that one of his unforgettable memories at LASALLE was being the only Diploma student selected for a dance production by the well-known dance trainer and lecturer, Albert Tiong.

Produced by Farah Diyanah Mohd Razid and directed by Tan Fu Wee, both of whom are presently pursuing Diploma in Broadcast Media at LASALLE College of the Arts, Helai Demi Helai (Piece by Piece) is a story about an autistic girl and was created as part of 20/20: The Temasek 20/20 Short Film Project.
