Formatted as a photo essay, the article employed images of our students rehearsing for the Esplanade’s annual da:ns festival to illustrate the point that LASALLE’s “cosmopolitan and cutting-edge” dance curriculum produces “performers who expand and challenge the boundaries of dance both physically and conceptually.”
da:ns festival 2017 is a celebration of dance in all its myriad forms, and its Next Generation segment aims to emphasise the caliber of current dance students in Singapore, and their potential to take the movement to greater heights.
For this segment, LASALLE students will present three distinctive and separate works as choreographed by dance pioneer Kuik Swee Boon, award-winner Lee Jae Young, and internationally acclaimed performer Martin Schick, with LASALLE lecturer Susan Yeung guiding these intense exchanges as rehearsal director.
