Speaker of Parliament, Mr Tan Chuan-Jin, was the Guest-of-Honour at LASALLE’s Convocation, and he mentioned the following in his speech: “In life, we seldom always achieve our dreams and more often than not, things don’t always pan out as planned. But no matter what you do, you should be passionate about it, and you should constantly learn, cultivate and develop your skills.“

Another graduate who forged ahead with her passion, despite several obstacles, was Nur Afiqah Bte Rapee. She received her Diploma in Dance at the ceremony, and is currently pursuing a BA(Hons) Dance at LASALLE. She shared how her dream is to open her own dance company one day because she believes choreography can inspire positive sentiment in others.
