After two successful editions, ARTWALK Little India returns with a new theme, Your Path To Remember. This year, the festival leads visitors into a space in time where memories and stories of the precinct come to life through animated telling of traditional folktales and mythologies, captivating art installations and immersive performances. Organised by LASALLE College of the Arts and Singapore Tourism Board, with the support of the Little India Shopkeepers’ and Heritage Association, the festival runs from Thu 12 to Tue 17 Jan 2017.
In an interview with Berita Harian, BA(Hons) Arts Management student Khairuddin Hussinee shared, “As an undergraduate at LASALLE, I feel fortunate to be involved in the effort to popularise art in Little India… It is interesting for me to work with visual artists who can figure out how to liven up the Little India area with more colours through mural paintings or art installations.”
