LASALLE Fresh Grad Making Waves In Luxury Fashion Circles

Jerome Lim was the valedictorian at LASALLE’s 31st Convocation, and this came by no mean feat. In an interview with TODAY, he shared how besides juggling school work, he also took the time to represent LASALLE at competitions, and undertake internships during semester breaks. When asked how he did it all, passion was his answer.

But identifying said passion came after much “test-driving”. Following his withdrawal from the National University of Singapore’s Industrial Design programme, Jerome spent his time interning with Prada in their public relations and advertising division. The experience reaffirmed his interest in fashion and solidified his resolve to take up a BA(Hons) Fashion Media and Industries degree at LASALLE.

“I like that the art form is wearable and transformative. In a very simple sense, fashion can be something that makes people feel better about themselves. I also wanted to prove that fashion is not the most frivolous art form,” said Jerome.

With his current position as Marketing Coordinator of Bulgari’s SERPENTIForm exhibition, a showcase of brand heritage through jewellery, art, and design, Jerome has adequately proven thus. As his father, My Lim Chye Heng states, “He is passionate and driven, and we fully support his aspirations.”
