School of Fashion graduands Elisa Lim, Ethrisha Liaw and Caroline Justine share with Lianhe Zaobao their experience designing functional yet fashionable clothes for wheelchair users. The garments in their graduation collection have been designed with carefully selected breathable fabrics and special features that allow the user to get dressed while still seated.
The trio collaborated with various organisations including the Cerebral Palsy Alliance Singapore, where they were able to receive feedback and ideas from the disabled themselves. They will be graduating in September and plan to continue developing clothes for the disabled.
