Nur Shireen Marican, from the BA(Hons) Arts Management Programme, received the LASALLE Award for Academic Excellence at the College’s 31st Convocation ceremony on Monday, 18 September 2017. Given only to the best student of each school, Shireen’s win is well-deserved.
As her lecturer, Sunitha Janamohanan, commented: “Throughout (Shireen’s) studies at LASALLE, she has consistently delivered work that was of an exceptional and professional standard.”
Fresh from her final semester at LASALLE, Shireen was employed by the Malay Heritage Centre as a freelance researcher. She shared that her dream is to be a museum curator, and LASALLE has most definitely given her the opportunities to improve her potential in this field.
