A one-year residency programme offered by LASALLE in collaboration with The Substation, the Arts Graduate Incubation Programme (AGIP) provided funding, studio space and mentorship.
The AGIP recipients for 2015 were BA(Hons) Fine Arts alumni Hyrol Sami’on and Morine Liang. The programme culminated with a solo exhibition at The Substation Gallery in May 2016.
“The award helps budding artists to further their artistic practice after school, and the collaboration between the Substation and LASALLE is a very strategic thing. It gives students confidence, knowing that they have support upon graduation, and I think it’s a big morale booster for art graduates,” said Hyrol, The Substation Arts Graduate Incubation Programme Recipient.
