An initiative by Chan Hampe Galleries co-founders Angie Chan and Nick Davies, the Chan-Davies Art Prize was launched exclusively for all final year students of LASALLE’s BA(Hons) Fine Arts Programme.
In 2016, the prize expanded to include the MA Fine Arts class. With a cash prize of S$15,000 and a solo exhibition supported by Chan Hampe Galleries and the Visual Arts Development Association Singapore, the prize aims to encourage artists in their early career with financial support and exposure. The 2016 Chan-Davies Art Prize was awarded to Shirly Koh from the BA(Hons) cohort and Jordi Fornies from the MA class.
