Expressive Coloured Pencil Still Life Drawing: Exploring a Limited Colour Palette
Be introduced to coloured pencil rendering techniques and learn about colour theory, optical mixing and compositional techniques. Explore the themes of still-life and portraits and learn to apply various shading and mark-making techniques using a limited colour palette and other complementary drawing media.
This course is suitable for beginners and especially recommended for participants who have completed The Art of Coloured Pencil: An Introduction course.
About the trainer
Sharina Azlan graduated from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts, with Distinction and a Diploma in Visual Arts (Painting), with High Distinction from LASALLE-SIA College of the Arts. She has been an adjunct lecturer with LASALLE’s McNally School of Fine Arts for the past 17 years and Short Courses trainer for the past 10 years.
Sharina also taught customised art programmes in primary, secondary schools and tertiary institutions. Prior to this, she has commissioned art projects, collaborated on murals and participated in various group exhibitions.
She believes that art and art-making is for everyone to learn and enjoy. She deeply feels that art is the most effective way to communicate across language and cultural barriers and encourages everyone to experiment with different art mediums.
