Draw with Character: Creative Figure Illustration for Beginners
Kick-start a journey of exploring the world of illustration, through a rigorous and interactive course that focuses on learning the basics of human proportions, drawing style and basic illustration techniques such as line work and selecting colour palettes.
Using dry mediums, such as pencil, inks and watercolour/watersoluble pencils, the course focuses on creating illustrations with a unique character and personal style whether based on imagination or real life, rather than on realistic human figure drawings.
About the trainer
Sharon Yang is a talented illustrator whose creativity knows no bounds. Having graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts honours degree in Visual Communications from Nanyang Technological University's School of Art, Design and Media, Sharon has honed her skills and nurtured her passion for visual storytelling.
Her designs and illustrations have been featured in the marketing campaigns of renowned brands such as Blackberry, Goldheart, Esplanade and YESAH. Sharon's talent also extends to the literary realm, where she has contributed captivating illustrations to various books and publications.
With a flair for live drawing, Sharon has lent her creative touch to events hosted by esteemed clients such as Ermenegildo Zegna, H&M, M.A.C Cosmetics, Schiavello and St Jerome's Laneway Festival, adding an artistic spark to every occasion.
