Traces features the results of the 2009 Art Incubator residency programme. Three young Singaporean artists – Claire Lim, Tay Wei Leng and Hafiz Osman – have created new works over a two-month residency. From Wei Leng’s photographic reflections on the attitudes and beliefs of her generation of Singaporeans to Claire’s interpretation of the forming and passing of memories and to Hafiz’s ongoing examination of the temporal nature of materiality, these artists have developed work that critique on themselves and their environment.

Artist Talk
Held in conjunction with Traces, each artist will speak about their new work for Traces and their experiences during the residency working with their respective mentors on Wed 12 Aug, 2pm at Trispace (B1-05), LASALLE College of the Arts.

This exhibition and talk is organised by the Institute of Contemporary Arts Singapore, LASALLE (ICAS).
