Fly with Me

This dynamic programme provides inspiring training in essential disciplines of mind and body - together with creative expressions in contemporary dance and choreography.

Graduates find employment locally and internationally: being technically skilled and also imaginative, analytical and creative, they work as Dance Performers, Choreographers, Educators and Administrators

Vocational training is delivered by a range of international guest artists and diverse teaching staff, who bring their wealth of experience from across Asia, Europe and the Americas to nurture and inspire our students with personal attention. Historical, cultural and contextual studies to enrich students’ knowledge, imaginations and expression, and a personal dance aesthetic is developed, alongside of choreographic skills.

Dance is a rigorous discipline, requiring passion, dedication and complete commitment. Daily dance practice/study in the studio and on stage with other moving bodies, teaches how to relate to others, and to the larger world. The collaborative focus encourages students to reach their full potential as individual artists

Contemporary dance collaborates with visual, musical and media artists – who in turn find inspiration from those who work in the beauty, power, rhythm and emotion of physical expression. Respected in the dance scene of Singapore and beyond, students regularly appear at Arts Festivals and Dance events.

As the contemporary dance industry continues to flourish internationally – and with new resort centres opening soon in Singapore - talented and elite dance athlete-artists, choreographers and physical performers, will be even more in demand.

Level 1 establishes a technical, creative, practical and contextual foundation; different disciplines and theoretical approaches, with modules in Ballet, Contemporary Technique, Dance History and Dance Science. Level 2 develops more sophisticated creative thought practices to broaden inquiry and knowledge, with teachings on Asian Dance Cultures, Performance Theory and interpretation. Level 3 consolidates personal development towards professionalism. Research topics culminate in original thesis and creative product.
