Design is influential to the industrial economy and affects everyday life. Design is immensely important and is a powerful tool for cultural, social and economical developments today. What is the power of design in this era? Toshiyuki Kita, world-renowned Japanese product designer will be sharing some of his experiences and will touch on the changes and developments in design in the next era.

This lecture is held in conjunction of the Singapore Design Festival 2009, and co-organised by the Japan Creative Centre and the Faculty of Design, LASALLE.
