The Lunchtime Concert Series features School of Contemporary Music (SoCM) main study lecturers – Aya Sekine/ Maya Nova Duo. Familiar faces to SoCM and the local music scene, these gifted ladies of jazz have musical languages that exceed all ages and culture.

Passionate and competent jazz vocalist Maya Nova performs regularly in topnotch international clubs and shows. Recently she was nominated as a finalist at famed Montreaux Jazz Festival. Aya Sekine is also an established jazz pianist who also has strong influence in Brazilian music. Maya and Aya have worked together for a long time and with this connection together they will explore true improvisation and beauty of Jazz.

The Lunchtime Concert Series is a fortnightly performance presented by SoCM, Faculty of Performing Arts.
