An element of a culture or system of behaviour that may be considered to be passed from one individual to another by non-genetic means, esp. imitation. In the 70s, biologist Richard Dawkins coined the term to indicate how ideas proliferate from one source to another in an evolutionary way.

Meme is a Master of Arts Fine Arts exhibition, featuring nine LASALLE MA Fine Arts candidates – A Patrick Storey, Alan Butler, Iman Ismail, Iskander Walen, Lucas Jodogne, Marina Milosavljevic,  Rashid Saini, Sima Salehi Rahni and Susan Olij.

Ahmad Mashadi, Head of NUS Museum, is the the Guest of Honour for the opening night. This exhibition is organised by the Faculty of Fine Arts and Institute of Contemporary Arts Singapore, LASALLE (ICAS).
