Open Call: Trispace at LASALLE College of the Arts
CLOSING DATE EXTENDED TO 31 JULY 2010

The Institute of Contemporary Arts wishes to announce an open call for the use of the Trispace venue. We welcome proposals for new works of any medium or genre by either a group or individual artists. All participating artists should be based in Singapore.

About Trispace

Open since 2009, the new gallery space of the Institute has developed into a project incubator suited to unconventional experiments. Previous notable shows include The Zarathustra Project by Ho Tzu Nyen, The Button Project by Adeline Kueh and A Midsummer Night's Dream by Slobodan Trajkovic. Conditions

All materials should be sent by post to the Institute of Contemporary Arts, LASALLE College of the Arts. To ensure a fair selection process, materials sent should consist of the following:

1. Artist's CV with full contact information
2. Exhibition proposal (A4, double-spaced) Exhibition proposal should indicate concept, subject, production timeline, budget and preferred exhibition date.
3. Artist's portfolio of recent works, with accompanying texts and press clippings, if any
4. Portfolio images should also be included in a CD/DVD; samples of new media work, if any, should be submitted in CD/DVD format

All submissions should be made by 31 July 2010. The result of the open call will be announced on 6 August 2010. A quarterly publication will be produced in conjunction to the works and artists showing at Trispace, which will feature critical essays by invited writers on the showcased projects. Selected artists will utilise Trispace during the period of August to November 2010.

Please note that all submissions shall be retained by the Institute for archival purposes.
