JON TARRY is a prominent Australian artist with an extensive practice that moves between disciplines including sculpture, painting and time-based media. His approach examines the capacity of art, in the context of architecture and environment.
About the speaker
Jon Tarry has exhibited with Goddard de Fidddes Cotemporary Arts in Australia, as well as LAG Gallery in Los Angeles. After a recent show titled Smashed, he participated in the Biennale of Architecture in Venice with Bill Busfield. His recent commissioned projects include works for Albany Entertainment Centre with Cox Architects and Ashdale College with Donaldson Warn Architects. Tarry holds Bachelor of Arts and Master degrees in Fine Arts and Architecture and is currently lectures at the University of Western Australia’s Faculty of Architecture Landscape and Visual Arts.
