The Animation Archiving Project is a three-year research project (2017-2019) funded by Niigata University, Japan Foundation Asia Centre and Japan Society for the Promotion of Science’s Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research (Kakenhi project number: 17K02356).

This symposium seeks to provide a platform for networking and exchanging of expertise to facilitate transnational and interdisciplinary approaches to creative contents among academics, student creators, curators, librarians, collectors and industry personnel. 

Keynote speakers include Professor Kenichi Harada from NU, Professor Kazumi Nagaike from Oita University, Professor Fusami Ogi from Chikushi Jogakuen University, and Executive Director Karen Chan from the Asian Film Archive.
